I think the pickles actually worked...but I don't like to way they taste! They taste more like sweet pickles thaan dill pickles. I don't think this would be from using regular cucumbers as opposed to pickling ones, but I could be wrong. They look fine and are not mushy at all, just taste different from what I was expecting.
