Joy Luck Club

Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful story for the holiday.
And yes, it is essential to treasure our elders while we have them.
Also, that the beauty we see has a lot to do with the beauty in us.

Ever seen Joy Luck Club?
The message of it is, "If you only knew how much your mother suffered and sacrificed for you, then you would have compassion for her."

The only problem with this beautiful idea is, that we really don't know!
Many mothers try so hard to be sacrificing all the time and put a nice face on things and hide sad family secrets, and as a result the kids may grow up clueless and inconsiderate. Many mothers never share (even with grown kids) their genuine vulnerable emotions and struggles in life. It can be very precious, once kids are old enough to handle it, for mothers to share a few of the harder life lessons and what it has taught them.

Here's to moms everywhere!!!
