I'm late to this party. But wonder how much finances play in this debate? I'm ignorant on that portion. It would seem to me that a young woman who accidently gets pregnant, but cares about keeping the baby, who doesn't have the money to go to term would have two choices: a) abort; b)maybe some kind of 1/2 way house. A place that would be private and comfortable and would work with the woman to: a) offer choices (adoption, education & parenting skills); b)educate for a better life thereafter.
Seems to me that this country has alot of places for those with lower incomes to go live, etc. But not alot for those who find themselves in a situation they would not have chosen.
I"ve had it easy. I've never had to choose, I"ve never been in a tough situation where there aren't choices.
Wondering if this is a closed topic, or if you are still looking for situations that could resolve issues that surround this topic. Seems that the thread kind of got lost in controversy.
