Re: Nursing and Feeding issues
Hi Nicole,
Well I guess we our boys can't be abnormal if we are always going through the same things now can they! I guess that's one consolation.
Since I've started nursing again during the day his appetite has grown right along with it again. He's never been a huge eater...more of a snacker, so I've got to breathe a sigh of relief. I guess nursing and eating go hand in hand for him so I can't complain.
He does still frequently nurse during the night, He's got a 2 hour limit on waking right now, but I have decided that he is going to start having a 4-5 hour span of no eating at night whether he wakes or not. I do think that his digestive system needs a break during the night, so I started imposing that last night.
I have also noticed allergies during this little upset that we've had over the past few weeks. One at the restaurant that we went to which was more topical, and one irritated bum. I think that one is peas. I had the same reaction when I was young. And like me he LOVES peas, so that's our little catch 22. I still haven't and probably won't figure out the skin reaction he had at the restaurant as it could be anything.
Milk of course is the other allergy that we've figured out. It is more a sensitivity with him, but I've stopped giving it to him to drink and he has stopped being gassy at night...which also helps with the sleeping issues.
Please keep me posted on the chiropractic. I hadn't thought of that being something that would help. I had him balanced when he was first born, but haven't considered it further.
