Iodine question

I've been reading this forum voraciously for the past month and then CZ crashed...so I can't find a lot of the infos.I'm very excited by this protocol but also very cautious.Could someone please tell me if if one can do the therapy while still having Amalgams and root canals.I know these are poisonous to the body but I don't have a choice right now.
