Done some more research....what can protect your lips all day?
Everything i have wrote before about the Vit C and collagen is true these are the healing steps but not the prevention steps. On
http://www.exfoliativecheilitis.com
i was reading the testimonials etc and it explained it is hyperkeratosis of the lips. To some up hyperK it builds a barrier of thick skin to protect the lips if needed to be protected. So when our lips are left alone it can be damaged either by sunlight, bacteria etc and the thick skin builds up to protect. I know what builds the damaged layers underneath but it would be impossible to find something that doesn't harm the lips but protects them from everything like they once were, the only thing that comes to mind is fruit and someone on this board has claimed a lemon cured them. Were their lips in a lemon 24/7 until it fully developed and ready to be exposed? I've read around the internet and this is quite simply the same as corns and dry rough thick skin on the foot. Now along with the supplements Vitamin C and collagen my lips have no doubt developed but i am not protecting them. Now i'm busy and always outside but what is the perfect something to protect the lips without harming them all day from stuff such as sunlight. This can heal easily within a week but i don't know what to protect my lips with. I go periods of 8 hours a day without applying Vitamin C liquid which is a good antioxidant and developer of connective tissue. I need something for protection.
So far i have fruit but its crazy to even think about my lips being in a lemon all day but we all know anyone with cheilitis is willing to do it. Natural lip protection....a shield that doesn't harm...anyone got any ideas? By the way the collagen pills and vit C now my lips look normal..
