Re: Acid/Alkaline Theory of Disease Is Nonsense?
Exactly! I have been trying to put that idea into words, but you did so much better than I could. Proper diet, cleanses, if needed, to improve elimination and create better and more complete digestion and a healthy life style should be all that is needed.
We like to call ourselves believers in alternative medicine, but, we tend to hold on to an allopathic mindset looking for that magic pill, drink or whatever that will make us well. We may be able to mask the symptoms, but real health comes from getting the body as healthy as it can be through diet and lifestyle. Medications, whether pharmaceuticals, herbs, or manufactured supplements should be the last resort, not the first line of defense.
I do use supplements because my diet is not as good as I would like, but I do not take mega-doses, nor do I use any one thing too long. I used to focus on walking again as the first priority; now I am trying to focus on getting as healthy as I can, the most natural way I can. I am far from perfect, but I'm trying to keep on keeping on.
