Na, don't believe in all that silliness.  George Bush didn't secretly plan 9-11 anymore than I did.  And, I think some drugs do cause diabetes, because I have seen it firsthand with certain cancer drugs...But. as they taught us in Sociology, these people don't sit around and think...how can I hurt this person and that person.  I used to think of it that way and wonder how they slept at night.  Then, my Prof explained it.  They (most of them: you do have a few sociopaths and pyschopaths out there, in any walk of life) think they are doing the right thing and doing things for the good of the people.  Most of those people are rich and they absolutely cannot relate to the little guy, so they do not know what we go through.  But that is the world they live in.  It isn't all these evil forces all about.  You will drive yourself nuts thinking like that anyway.
