I have to respectfully disagree about using noxema. Any creams or ointments containing menthol, camphor or steroids should not be used on the delicate skin of the anus. A dermatologist clued me into this. It will help in the short term, but makes things much worse in the long run. Use coconut oil. If it doesn’t irritate your skin you can add 1 or 2 drops of tee tree oil to the coconut oil. The coconut oil, surprisingly, really helps with the itch and it is antifungal and antibacterial too. It might help. I’ve never tried it. Enemas in general are very helpful, especially coffee enemas. The reason the garlic clove insert works well is because it stays there all day or until you poop it out. It’s a road block for the critters and kills candida working its way down the colon. The enema is washed out more quickly in comparison, so you may not have extended relief. I would go to a doctor to get tested for worms/parasites first. If that is not the issue, then it’s likely the way more common problem of Pruritus Ani. This essentially means you just have a chronic itchy bum being caused by any number of things. I have the same problem after bowel movement. In your case, if it is bad at night, it sounds like a possible enterobius vermicularis infection. [pinworm] I would check as they will be ’just’ visible to the naked eye. You will not see the eggs. There is an effective drug for this available at the drug store. If it is protozoa, I would start on a black walnut-woormwood-clove powder tea. Sip it during the entire day for a week or 2. This should get rid of all sorts of bad stuff. An itchy anus is a classic symptoms of candida. Either you are feeding them or killing them off. I never had that symptoms until I started killing them off so I know it can be die off also. It sounds like pinworms. Pinworms come out at night from the anus (usually between 11pm and 1am) and lay their eggs on the buttocks. Just been through this one with my daughter, so know all about it. They are small, threadlike worms that can often be mistaken for lint or pieces of toilet paper. To get rid of them you have some options. You can do a regular parasite cleanse and/or you can take Pin-X or Reese’s Pinworm medicine (over-the-counter drugs).
