Sounds like some great solutions are working for you!

I do any number of things, but most always, No-thing....I meditate if I can, but if I am too, too upset, I journal. It always helps me to put my feelings on paper, and have often benefited from the insights received. In the past, when the emotions were extremely intense, I would be almost paralyzed from doing anything, so I would just contract and go within, shrivel up in a ball and just be in the pain. It was all I could do in some situations. Also, I am a bodyworker and have access to exchanging with friends who do the same work. I find that a deep energy session of cranio-sacral therapy or deep tissue massage brings me into awareness and connecting the dots regarding my feelings.

Another thing I do is take a walk by myself, in nature, we have a park close by. And a beach close by in the summer. Always helpful!

Another thing I get healing and insight from is music!! Music, music, music!! heals the soul........

As an introvert, it has come natural for me to go within when in emotional turmoil, rather than telling others all about it. I had to learn that it is ok and can be helpful to reach out and ask for help. So I do my inner process as well as sharing with close friends!!
