Day 14: ICU's Strongyloides Protocol
Day 14 of ICU's strongyloides protocol.
Date: 2/15/2014 5:13:27 AM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 1363 times UPDATE 8:34 AM Very nauseous. Drank coconut milk for my fat, because I don't feel like I could keep down food. Just had a run of diarrhea, and found something very disturbing on my tissue. It looked just like the tapeworm in this picture, which is a hydatid tapeworm. I'm hoping it's not, but maybe my being so sick is from a cyst rupturing and releasing all these things into my body. I am taking it easy today. Something serious happened between last night and this morning, and I need to rest up and try to figure out what is going on.

A full two weeks -- one week on Ivermectin alone, and one week on Albendazole and Ivermectin -- and I think the die-off has begun finally.
It's concentrated itself on my right side (where most of the worms are), from my shoulder up into my head. Last night I felt squigglies in my eye again, actually it felt like one big something trying to wiggle its way out. I had such a horrible headache, and the only way to make it go away was to lay in the dark. This morning, I have pain in my right shoulder blade (had the left one last week), down into my elbow, up into my neck and the lymph glands, and up the side of my head. My teeth on that side even hurt. I'm also having twinges around my gallbladder. Last night, I was either too cold or too hot. I could not get comfortable at all, and felt a little nauseous when I got up to go to the bathroom. I finally just got up at 5:30 and made coffee.
I'm going to try to tough it out, take my ABZ this morning and drink nothing but Master Cleanse lemonade all day until my evening dose, but if I don't feel better, I may have to stop the ABZ for a few days.
No wonder people never get cured, when doctors are only giving them drugs for a couple of days a week and then repeat in two weeks, like worming a dog or cat. I've been at this for two weeks,so I don't see how anyone could get any relief faster than that. The medical community, especially here in the states, is in total ignorance and disbelief about parasites. They are completely uneducated, which needs to change, because with global travel and immigration come global bugs. There was never a case of hydatid tapeworm in this country except in travelers until lately. Now it is getting more commonplace, and hydatid disease is starting to be found in animals as well as humans here. Filiariasis has come in from Africa and the tropics. Insects, such as blackfly, are coming in with cargo from other countries, so who is to say that river blindness will not strike us next. Strongyloides is endemic to the subtropics of the U.S., especially Appalachia, and it is now spreading across the country.
We need to do something to get the medical community to take these things more seriously. In the meantime, all we can do is try to buy local produce and wash it in peroxide water before eating. Cook all your meat very well and stay away from raw fish and meat. I hate to say this, but if you have parasites and have pets, maybe your pets need to go. I'm looking for a home for my cat, because she has had ascaris and cat roundworm, and I had a hard time getting rid of them. Fleas can carry parasites from animals to humans. Parasite eggs are carried on pets' fur and are in their mouths. I hate to be paranoid, but I've suffered for too long, and if not having a pet will help me stay well, so be it.
