How to Tackle With Lyme Disease in Pakistan

Learning more about how to tackle with Lyme disease is essential for prevention. This article discusses the Symptoms, Treatment, and Prevention of Lyme disease. Sleep is also important. Most adults need 8-9 hours of sleep. Avoid eating close to bedtime, as it can decrease quality of sleep. The ideal ambient temperature for sleep appears to be 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Use soothing music and a relaxing bedtime routine to help you enter the parasympathetic state. You may also consider taking botanicals to combat the inflammation that is associated with tick borne diseases.

Treatment

Antibiotics are the standard of care for Lyme disease. However, there are some exceptions. Although the use of longer antibiotics is effective for some people, others don't experience any extra benefit. For those who are unable to take oral antibiotics, intravenous antibiotics should be used instead. The duration should be at least 14 days. Some experts believe that this treatment option should be reserved for more severe cases, and a broader spectrum of antibiotics is needed for a more precise diagnosis.

Studies in animals are primarily used to understand the pathogenesis of Lyme disease. Nonhuman primates can easily acquire B. burgdorferi, but healthy animals clear the infection quickly and develop antibodies that fight infection. However, in those with a suppressed immune system, the infection continues for several months or years. In addition to the central nervous system, the infection can affect skeletal muscle, skin, and urinary tract.

Prevention

If you are going on a walk, be sure to ask someone to check for ticks to reduce the risk of getting Lyme disease. Ticks are hard to spot and can attach to your body in places that you cannot see. Use a tick repellent or tick-killing products to prevent getting bitten. Tick repellents contain active ingredients, but they need to be reapplied often. Essential oils are not as effective as products containing active ingredients.

A blacklegged tick (also known as a deer tick) can carry the disease if you are not aware of it. If the tick is removed within 48 hours, you will not contract Lyme disease. Once infected, the bacteria in the tick travels through the bloodstream and attacks various organs and tissues throughout your body. Untreated, Lyme disease can lead to neurological and cardiac problems. Fortunately, most cases of the disease can be treated successfully with antibiotics.

Sleep

When you have Lyme disease, sleep is crucial to recovery. The bacteria that causes Lyme can affect the nervous system and interfere with sleep. Patients with the disease often experience insomnia, nocturnal awakenings, and excessive daytime somnolence. Sleep is also necessary to keep the body healthy. To help you sleep well, you can practice relaxation techniques before bed. You may also want to try taking a warm bath and listening to soothing music. The key to getting a restful night's sleep is to stick to your usual sleeping schedule and reduce the amount of time you spend on electronic devices before bedtime.

Symptoms of Lyme disease can be similar to those of the flu. You may have joint or muscle aches, chills, and body temperature changes. You may experience night sweats or chills, which are all symptoms of Lyme disease. In addition to waking up with insomnia, you may experience cognitive disturbances as well. These changes can interfere with memory and concentration, so it is crucial that you get the right sleep.
