OVERCOMING DEPRESSION:
From the Deep Trance Meditation material
In the last couple of months, many have been struggling with feelings of listlessness, depletion, depression and woe. It is easy to blame the media with the daily stories and images of disasters and carnage around the world: disease, flooding, hurricanes and other demonstrations of the destructive power of Mother Nature. But indeed there might be more. It is no mere coincidence that so many sensitive people have been feeling depressed these last two months. These feelings in the collective consciousness have been the result of a combination of several influences.
First and foremost, astrological influences upon the world have made things difficult. These influences have been upon us for several weeks, and have only recently begun to dissipate. However, from this point forward all that has been suppressive, derogatory or difficult should ease up, as there is the movement towards the oncoming end of the year (as to the Mass of Christ). At that point in time, you will see some improvement or clarity.
In addition, often when people are not being compensated for whatever it is they do – whether it is money, lust, power, fame, notoriety, level of importance – whatever it is they work for that is their value and their reason to do whatever it is they do – there is a feeling of lack of appreciation or sense of drudgery. They feel overwhelmed with responsibility, dispassionate and lose the sense of personal satisfaction they once had for what they do. Coupled with the heavy astrological influences, you have a mass of people who feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and lost. Now compensation need only be affection: appreciation of your efforts, some notoriety or fame; but also personal affection: warmth, affection, security, someone to converse with, and someone who makes you laugh. Affection in all its forms will help lift the veil of depression.

I trust that those of you who have been to an event or had a personal consultation or healing with Douglas have been inspired to spread the word of what he is doing. If you have wondered how you can help, here are some places to start:
1) forwarding the announcements to friends and telling them about your experiences at the healing events and DTMs.
2) posting your experience with Douglas on your favorite on-line bulletin boards.
3) organizing a public event locally - whether a healing event, lecture or seminar - for Douglas. If you belong to some group and you want to bring Douglas to your part of the country, we want to hear from you!
4) contacting your favorite radio station or TV show and asking that they feature Douglas.
