Spiritual Energy Shield Spirit speaks about the lessons of a frightening incident I experienced this afternoon: one's spiritual energy can be used as a shield to deflect harm, and always listen to your "gut" feelings... While walking at the Nature Center, I felt a deep fear in my gut as a man strode up beside me and attempted to engage me in a conversation with very inappropriate sexua| overtones. He didn't touch me but I felt a threat of being sexually assaulted. I kept my cool outwardly and managed to distract him with conversation as I walked faster until I was able to break free of him and seek help from two people who were on the trail ahead of me. I reported the incident and gave a description to the park ranger, who questioned the man as I left the park. My heart still pounds when I think of it but at least no lasting harm was done and the man was caught. Both my Spirit Guides and Mother Earth talked to me about the significance of the event. I asked my Spirit Guides these questions: Liora: I'm still freaked out by what happened today at the Nature Center--any Spiritual significance of this? To get me to "listen to my gut?" Take a self-defense class? Why did this man choose me to approach? Because I could handle it whereas another woman may not have been able to? Spirit: Little One, we are glad you are safe! Yes, that was an unfortunate event, yet all ended well and you met two "allies"/friends! That was a lesson in "listening to your gut". The man involved chose you because of your "Light". Yes, you will attract the "flies" as well as the "butterflies" to you as your Light grows stronger. You will learn in time to handle these situations without fear. If you meet these unfortunate/misguided people you will be kind yet firm and strong in yourself and your boundaries. Your self-assurance will deflect them away/keep you from harm. A self-defense class for you and your "little one" (my daughter) would be helpful to build your self-confidence. You are small in stature yet mighty in Spirit and this Spiritual energy/force can be wielded as a shield if necessary, to do no harm yet to deflect the other's ill intentions/energy away from you without harm to yourself or them. It also acts to diminish, not "put out", their Light temporarily as yours "subsumes" or "squashes" theirs. They will experience a temporary flag in energy, perhaps confusion, and go on their way. Another woman may not have been able to deflect this poor soul/man as readily. Again we are glad you are safe and well. Yes, of course it was us "screaming" at you many of your earth-years ago to warn you away from potential bodily harm--you were not listening then and thought yourself strange yet that was a life-altering lesson, as you learned to "trust your gut" feelings (referring to an event over twenty years ago; I was not harmed but I was walking alone at night and came back to my car to find the tires were slashed. When I went to a gas station across the street to call for help, the station attendant was held up at gun point while I was in a pay phone in the parking lot! Before the tire-slashing, my Guides had yelled in my head "Get out of here now!" and I had an overwhelming sensation of fear in my gut, yet I didn't heed my Guides or my gut, thinking I was being irrational. I have paid attention ever since then, though!). We do get "excited" and jump up and down and yell if we see a "freight train" coming while you are on the tracks, so to speak. Humans have this capacity for "knowing" of danger yet many choose to ignore their own inner voices as they believe it not to be "logical". How absurd! It is more than a biological "survival mechanism"; it is their own Spirit seeking to protect themselves from bodily harm. Namaste, Amen! Your we-Guides who ARE in love with you forever!
