End of a Rough Day (and weight loss update)
Down 16 pounds, starting to exercise again, and continuing
Date: 3/29/2006 12:37:22 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1679 times I survived Day 6! The tongue thing is still really bugging me, but at least it's not bleeding anymore. I have not been able to put anything into my mouth today except water. It just burns and stings too much to put lemonade in there! So, I guess today was a water fasting day.
On the good side, I did the 1.5 miles on the treadmill, took a LONG hot/cold shower, skin brushing, and took an hour nap. So, it wasn't as bad of a day as it could have been.
I am not hungry at all. I had a LOT of water, and I'm making my tea now. Hopefully, I can get it down fast, and then I'll be back on lemonade tomorrow. I cooked a full meal for the family tonight, and my 8 yr old daughter cut up the vegees for the salad for the first time. She also asked for "hair" in her salad. I've just introduced her to sprouts, and she likes to put hair on the top! So cute! I have discovered that my son will eat double the salad if I let him put croutons on it. So, I let each child pick a bag of croutons, and told them we will start making our own when I'm off the fast! We have access to a reasonable amount of free bread from hubby's work, so they'll be free!
WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE: I weighed myself tonight before I left for our meeting, and the scale was down another 1.5 pounds... to 226.5. My starting weight at the beginning of this series of MC/fasts was 242.5, so that makes 16 pounds total. About 25 from my high of about 252. I have so much further to go. Each time I am tempted to shorten my fast, or think I can't make it THAT long, I remember WHY I'm doing this and get my motivation back. I AM going to stick with it until I reach my goal. Food is not the only pleasure available, and its only temporarily out of reach. Once I hit my goal, I have a LONG list of Raw foods I can't wait to make. My family is willing to try them (but not go all raw), as long as I still cook their favorite SAD meals as well. So they will be experimenting with me. For now, I'm just cooking SAD with much larger salad or vegee portions than before, and they are not complaining at all.
