Day 7: another day of MC and exercise
1.5 miles again; cleaning cupboards; tired of the lemonade
Date: 3/30/2006 12:24:58 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2386 times I made it back on the treadmill, and walked another 1.5 miles (took 5 minutes longer than yesterday, 40 minutes) while I watched the rest of the movie. It was VERY hard to push myself to continue, as my ankles and toes were sore, and my thighs a bit "tight". But I need to keep up the exercise if I'm going to reshape and tone my body as I lose weight.
I only made it through 4 lemonades today, but did get my tea in tonight. I just didn't like the lemonade. I am craving water. Had to force the tea down because I didn't want to even start drinking it. I don't know what's going on with my loss of desire for the lemonade this early in the fast, but I'm going to push through. My hubby bought me some grapefruits, and I may juice them in the morning and then go back to the lemonade for the rest of the day. I'll wait and see how I'm doing in the morning to decide.
DETOX SYMPTOMS: My tongue is still very sore. My breath is TERRIBLE. And my skin tastes salty and has a smell similar to the toxic taste in my mouth. I licked my finger when making the lemonade and noticed the funny taste, and that made me curious. I took an extra shower to help clean my skin so it can continue detoxing. No headache today, but not as much energy. I could have used a nap, but decided to start reorganizing the kitchen instead.
We are redecorating, and the kids and I unpacked the new silverware and dishes. We cleaned out the hutch and organized the new stuff there. My son emptied several shelves of the pantry, and I reorganized it. My goal is to have the kitchen set up with a "raw zone" and "junk zone" by the time I'm done fasting. Then I will NOT even get something for the kids from the junk zone. We're also going to print passes that the kids will need to eat junk food. They'll get a set amount for the week, and can trade in unused ones for special privileges if they don't use them. They seem excited about the idea, and it's motivating them to help me clean the cupboards out.
Anyways, that's what the day has been. Tomorrow is Day 8 of liquids, and I'm ready to get some sleep.
