Overeating and PMS

food thoughts during a woman's moon

Well it seems the only thing I can't get a hold of is the coffee thing during PMS. I can't take cacao in the morning because on a near empty stomach it overwhelmes my brain and makes me exhausted. More exhausted than coffee! Anyway, I discovered that to forestall eating in the evening is to have a huge salad when I get home! I made the best salad ever again earlier today. Eventually, I'll stop being lazy and make my own dressing. I use a tablespoon of Annie's Naturals or whatever Whole Foodie-type salad dressing that is in the refrigerator with some olive oil. Today I put tahini in the salad too and it was great. I picked my sister up from the airport and we went to the mall and ate. I barely picked at her veg quesadilla and of course had a coffee. Eventually one day I'll just stop drinking coffee, probably when I go to France on the honeymoon. Coffee is EXPENSIVE in Paris imho. I rather eat raw cheese and drink hard cider (not pasteurised!). I don't understand the whole thing about BOILING juice and milk in this country.

My goal is not to drink more than three cups of coffee this period. If I could drink one per day that's saying a lot I admit. Eating cacao nibs helps me tremendously and I stopped eating Cadbury bars a long time ago. I have to get off the starch trip. Tomorrow is all about salads and apples and bananas. Max two cups of coffee and not coffee at Starbucks. I'm done with Starbucks as of today.

I can't wait to see how my period changes with the dietary thing. If I can become less drammatic every month that's great. My fiance would love it. He says X on the calendar about a week before every moon and refers to my moon as the Swiss train. It always on time :O)

One more thing, my hair is returning to its original quality as when I was a child. I had very long, LONG hair that was extremely thick and wavy. I grew to really hate it because I had my hair cut off in school by an extremely jealous girl. Now I appreciate my hair and go to a lovely woman from the Dominican Republic who is a vegan and a yogini. My hair thrives off her vibe. I don't know what I'll do when I move. My eyes are clearer and my nails better. Imagine if I went completely raw.
