7/10: Master Cleanser

a confession to make....

First of all, I have a confession to make.... I stopped off at Whole Foods on my way home from work and bought a pint of organic lentil soup and ate it!!! If that is the only confession I ever have to make in life... I am doing okay. heehee. It was not because I wanted to break my fast or because I was having a food craving..... but because I felt like I physically needed it. The sodium and protein? Keep in mind I ran a total of 8 miles over the weekend and went to the gym on Saturday and Sunday. I think it is possible that for the amount of exercise I have been doing for the past week, I haven't been getting enough minerals, vitamins and protein from the lemonade. Not trying to make excuses here. But I didn't continue on the eat and went to bed feeling nourished.

So, I am not going to beat myself up over it. I am back on the fast today and plan on finishing out the 10 days as I originally planned. I guess I can call it a 10 day fast with a pint of lentils in between. Eh, fine... I still feel like I am doing something good for my body and that is all that matters. It's not as if I drank a pint of vodka, right? Who knows maybe the lentils will make the remaining days of my fast more effective.

I woke up early this morning and ran to the gym. 4 mile run total there and back. I also had a hard workout on my arms and abs trying to make use of the energy from the lentils. That area (on the run) is so pretty in the morning. All the trees and flowers with the morning sun making them sparkle.

Okay, that's it for now. Looking forward to the next 4 days of fasting. Over the hump.
