Day 6 of Juice Fast
Day 6 brings more weight loss, treadmill time and a lovely chat with my wife

Like I said yesterday, I've gotten into the groove of the fast so things so far are really going well. I'm amazed at how much energy I have. I know I've read about getting bursts of energy once on it but it really is surprising me. I went to the gym last night and got on the treadmill for over and hour (not that that is a spectactular accomplishment in itself) and burned (according to the machine) 550 calories. By my estimate I didn't even take in that much juice all of yesterday!!! AND I wasn't the least bit tired when I got off!!!
On the weight tip, I lost another 4 pounds!!! (I'm just a little concerned about my rapid weight loss at this point) I've gone from 240 to 220 in 11 days. Is it possible that was all water weight??? When I went to see my Doc after I got my blood work results back he was astonished (at that point I had lost 12lbs). I don't want to be one of those people thinking they're just fine...then keels over on their cycle of a heart-attack.
On a slightly depressing tip my wife wakes up this morning and tells me she resents me (not like I already knew that). She actually said it!!! What the hell am I supposed to respond with??? I love her very much but it really sucks to not be supported by your partner, you know?? I'm not really sure how to address it. I don't really feel like expending my energy on trying to get her on board with my fast. Almost like something inside me is saying that is the wrong approach. I'd like to try to raise my level of understanding and patience not only now but for the future as well. Ultimately, I'd like to get to that point where I can focus my fast towards connecting more with my spirituality but maybe that will just take time... It doesn't seem possible with the attitude in my bed currently.
Has anyone ever experienced blood-shot eyes on a juice fast?? I seem to have them every day yet I'm getting plenty of restful sleep?? I hope it's just detoxing of some sort. My family has a history on both sides of macular degeneration so I'm a little paranoid about my ocular health. Well I guess thats all

PS In case you care to know I'm pretty much down to 2 11 oz juices every day. One for "breakfast" and one for "dinner". My new favorite combo is
50% carrot
30% Beet
10% Parsley
5% Apple
5% Ginger
Talk about mmm mmm good.
