Do You Believe In Miracles?
Chef Jem reports on his Christmas miracle.
Date: 12/26/2010 5:09:53 AM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 34019 times I witnessed a miracle this Christmas Eve at my cousin's home just as my maternal uncle was crossing the threshold coming in to join us for dinner!
I just wrote about this to my cousin in Washington who is my uncle's daughter. She had invited me to be Facebook friends with her "Pop" maybe a month or to ago. About fifteen years ago my uncle had told me he never wanted to speak with me again and I had no communications with him from that day on through all these years! When his daughter suggested I be facebook friends with him I didn't want to assume that he wanted that as well or that he wanted any contact from me. Looking back on that now I would say I felt that it was going to take a miracle for he and I to connect again! Well, a miracle came through about 33 hours ago of my posting this!
I have read "A Course in Miracles" and I think like the Course that a miracle is a "thought correction". The term "thought correction" seems to me such a simply stated thing! I find the effect of that kind of correction to be most profound! I have experienced a healing through this miracle (which appears to have taken place simultaneously in both my uncle's mind as well as my own)! It is much like the healing I experienced visiting my father as of March of 2008 when he was having a second heart surgery. There is so much that I could tell about that in order to give an account of how deep that healing goes! As I am looking at this now (reviewing this during the current Mercury retrograde now in process) I see that a parallel of healing was needed on both sides of my family.
