Day 5 Water Fast
Date: 10/17/2012 6:25:29 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 19215 times I slept like a baby, peacefully - and when I got up today, I felt so well rested. Usually, when I get up in the morning.. it's been such a struggle. Sometimes, I will cry because I am so fatigued. But here I am, and my body seems to be correcting itself. Wow, this is amazing.
I'm noticing that my body is getting smaller. Yes, I have lost weight - but that's not my main goal. What I am noticing is that my body isn't as 'swollen', if that makes any sense at all? My face isn't as puffy, my body shape is becoming more prominent. My hands don't ache when I move them. It's really pretty cool.
I have also lost my cravings for foods that used to monopolize my day - like coffee, sugar, and wheat. I used to sit at my desk and get such strong cravings for them, like I couldn't wait. But now, I don't even think about them.
I'm going to definitely keep going. I have 10 days as my goal - but I am already half way through (with a small stumble). I think I might be able to do longer - so I'm going to say 12 days, and then see how I feel.
I'm really excited about how my body feels. I read that when you fast, your body turns the energy inward and starts consuming all the decay, dead/diseased cells, and fat for energy. I can definitely feel those results today.
