Thanksgiving Day Meditation

I Received a Wonderful Message from My Meditation Yesterday

During a meditation yesterday, I received a wonderful message that I wanted to share.  The intention for the meditation was to provide a message for our spiritual group which meets each week.  The meditation started with a vision of a single leaf.  It was beautiful with reds, yellows and oranges and the shape was unique and interesting.  I saw the leaf falling with a bright blue sky in the background.  The wind was carrying this leaf and it would slowly go to the right and then the left.  In so many different directions it went.  All the while it was moving gently.  It was as if the leaf was falling in slow motion.  In this meditation I was within the now of that moment.  I could see, hear and feel this leaf falling.  It was quite amazing now that I think about it typing these words.  Slowly the leaf fell until it reached the ground with all the other leaves.  I could feel the power of the energy within this moment.  Once I had taken in the experience and the vision, I received the following message which I shared with the group and am now sharing:

 “Every moment in life is like this falling leaf.  It is beautiful in its movement and grace.  Although its movements may at times seem chaotic and unpredictable, every move is another step closer towards its final goal.  They bring it to where it belongs nestled safely in the company of its brothers and sisters.  It has only to trust in the divine order, in the divine plan, that it will be led safely by the wind.  The awe, curiosity and peace you find within this moment can be brought with you in your life, if you but trust in that divine plan, if you but trust in the divine.  We are your angels most high. Amen.”

After I received the message and wrote it down in my journal, I returned to my meditation and simply felt the energy that was present.  It was a tremendous feeling of warmth and comfort.  I stayed there thinking of nothing, I was simply feeling in the moment, for at least 10 or 15 minutes.  I could have stayed there longer, but I didn’t.  I am hopeful that when I bring forth that image and that experience again, I will be able to reconnect to that energy and to that feeling.
