This is a reply to # 2,245,514TWO MORE DAYS! Then the water/ dry fast begins. I'm nervous.... I can't stand the symptoms... but I'm excited. Hoping to get to day 40 this time. Going to try to control the stress levels. Didn't lose anything since yesterday. So far I lost 7 lbs in 4 days. I know its water weight but that's still good. Some light cleaning before the deep cleaning kicks in. I don't want to be in pain anymore. I don't want people's stares or to continue having trouble shopping for clothes. I want to be able to chase my kids. I'm so freaking nervous I won't make it. Gotta try.

This is a reply to # 2,245,635Hey, I am in the same boat. Is this ur first long fast? I had done one earlier, 1.5 yr ago to be exact. I did it for 33 days and lost around 30 lbs. But, right after the fast, I had a host of parties, gatherings & whatnot and fell off the health wagon and back to my old bad eating habits. And now, I am at my heaviest ever. I used to have incredible will power and cud force myself to fast, but don't know somehow somewhere I have lost it. Have not been able to do it again. I just hope tat I can do it this time.
Abt me: I am an 34 yr married women with 2 incredibly hyper kids 6 & 3. I usually used to be around 160 lbs, but as I said earlier, I am at my heaviest ever now at 210 lbs. :(

This is a reply to # 2,245,648I've done up to 45 days and got really sick, so called it off :) start weight was 243. I went down to 191 then went up to 210-218 (keeps changing). I'm currently 205.4lbs. drinking almond milk, broth, and juice.
I've done a few water/ dry fast before but never kept the weight off until my last fast which ended in december 2014. It's been really hard trying to get started this time.
Scared about the water fast... esp 40 days but if I can keep going, I shall.
Kids can be hard, fasting or not lol. esp. when It's time for the twins and the mr. to eat.

This is a reply to # 2,245,648I am in definite need of a fasting buddy. I have 4 kids and typically gained 60+ pounds with each pregnancy. After my 4th one in 2009 I lost most of the weight with the master cleanse. The longest I did was 27 days. I also did a couple of Water Fasts with 5 days being the longest. I was getting close to my goal until life happened and I lost focus and let things slip for too long. I have gained back 17 pounds.
I used to be so focused and determined with these fasts but lately its been a challenge. I have been struggling with my motivation. I'm hoping having fasting buddies will help me stay on track.- Tomorrow Is Day One! NikkiG23

For me, Water Fasting can be pretty difficult. I always get dizzy. When I juiced, that was the only time I kept weight off. The pre fast stage can also help. For the longest I was the "all in/cold turkey" kind of person and that was my down fall. No foundation to fall back on. At the beginning of the month, my significant other and I started a Vegetarian Challenge. I was a huge meat eater. I'm hoping that helps me stay on track. Today is my last day of juicing! Omgosh..
The reason I stopped my 45 day fast is because I got really sick... Not a health crisis but too many lost electrolytes. I bathed too much with Epsom salt, too often. Baths were very hot. I drank too much water (things I shouldn’t do). This time I will be drinking electrolytes every ten days or so. I never want to get that way again. I felt terrible… Not a good way to feel when you got little ones. No sick days for mommy. Lol I’ll be having herbal tea. I have some things I’ll be working on while fasting. Whitening my teeth, planning on how I want to end my fast (I’ll be breaking into a juice fast for 3 weeks, then into raw vegetarian for about a month again.) I want to break it right.
We can do it… Very Challenging, Yet Extremely Rewarding.

This is a reply to # 2,245,801I have made the electrolyte mistake as well. I look at it like natural water (pre stripped) has the basic electrolyte minerals...even sodium. I do supplement with these as well but regularly. I have read different things but personally much enjoy having the correct electricity in my body :)
Let me add as well I do coffee enemas when I fast which are highly mineral intensive in making Glutathione which is the natural healing agent (free radical scavenger etc). - Re: Tomorrow Is Day One! caa522

This is a reply to # 2,245,801I'm modifying my Water Fast to help with the electrolyte issues. I get muscle cramping and it is difficult to overcome. I am using diatomaceous earth (rich in minerals)mixed in the water and also add liquid minerals this fast and hope that will help support my fasting symptoms. I also do coffee enemas but do less when Water Fasting due to its influence with throwing off electrolyte balance. I do epsom soaks and also swish with magnesium oil.

This is a reply to # 2,245,861Nice i pretty much do the same things I just took some Himalayan Sea Salt too as I sauna and do the Epsom Salt rub topically then finish with lemon juice or acv. Those products are high in Fulvic acids which are great

I am big with doing the sauna to sweat the toxins out and also help with raising body temp as I really don't like it when my temp goes down with fasting. I get so cold easily. I also do the Lemon juice and sometimes ACV to get that Potassium in.
Interesting you mentioned Fulvic acid. Just found out about that and got my first bottle of Fulvic/Humic Acid Minerals in time to do this fast.
Glad to have a fasting buddies here. My first Water Fast with support. I'm hoping this will help get me further this time. My longest was 5 days. If I can break that record it would be awesome!!- Re: Tomorrow Is Day One! gosslin

This is a reply to # 2,245,966Nice and I like all those things a lot. I used to be so strict on just water but over time realized detoxification is a scale, and on a Water Fast there are variables that can greatly expedite and assist me.
What I do for hunger is use seltzer water and mix it with lemon and Dr Christopher's super hot cayenne (only one - 3 drops are needed).
I also take a liquid Ionic Fulvic mineral suppliment or Vitamineral Green to make sure I have all the minerals when needed. I use some ACV but figure since I am in major detox zone I add 2 other things.
I do about 1TBSP baking soda enema a day and hydrogen peroxide therapy orally. I do not think both are needed as they both do the same thing, but I just go all in as I have the natural HP.
As far as 5 days and beating it, here are my experiences. I can fast for 3-4 days without even thinking of it. Most people say these are the hardest but for me that is not the case. Days 5-7 are the hardest and every time I have succeeded in getting past 7 days, I was able to extend into a long fast and actually wanted to.
I am on day 5 now, and this is my rough patch. I do not mentally design it that way either lol. I am going to make it through this time as I am determined to reap the benefits of a longer fast.

This is a reply to # 2,246,003From my experience the sauna is fine but you are going to have to take additional sodium and electrolyte minerals. I think I said this but from my experience I do not think de-mineralization is good at any point for any purpose but am willing to be wrong. I just am willing to overindulge minerals ESPECIALLY when fasting :)
For me the benefit of a sauna is total ounces being sweated out not how much pain I experience in one sitting lol.
So... I tend to stay in for about 4x5-7 minute sessions with a shower rinse / pool inbetween. Once my pores are opened up I immediately keep sweating.
I enjoy using epson salt rubs and even bring a lemon or ACV spray to cleans my skin as well. Partly because it feels good and partly because it gives me something to do as I do not want to bring my phone for music in :)

I had never seen the boimetric bed but it looked awesome. I bought a tent like / IR sauna on craigslist for $100 and have used it for 5 years. it has been one of the best investments I have made but I would consider myself an avid sauna user! Half the time I go to the gym I skip deadlifts and just head straight to sweat

I do the food grade H202 as well. I put it in a spray bottle and spritz in my mouth a few times a day. Thought not consistently before fasting, I will do it more now. It certainly helps with that gawd awful fasting breath. I try to keep my distance for fear of offending someone with my breath but it's funny b/c people respond strangely as if there's something wrong with their breath. lol.
Hmmm. I have to look into the baking soda enema. I've been doing coffee enemas for awhile now but I've been contemplating taking a break from it.
As for the sauna. I tend to go in once about 15 minutes in the dry sauna to open up pores and sweat out. I then go to the wet sauna to help rehydrate respiratory system and eyes (they can get so dried out). I don't like to shower in the gym so the steam from the wet sauna helps me clean off any toxins. I stay maybe 5 minutes.
Congrats on day 5. THAT IS AWESOME!
It's very encouraging to hear that. Are you blogging about it by any chance? Would be interested in following if you are.
Usually days 1-2 are hardest for me because it's always easier to quit and start over from that point. But I've gotten more into changing my belief system (NLP-ish) and reprogramming thoughts. So this fast is going to be different in that I'm putting more energy in the spiritual/emotional/mental healing. I'm taking away my focus on limited thinking (fears) and redirecting it to positive ones. I tend to be in a state of apprehension with days 1-3 awaiting hardships that come with fasting (resistance). I want this to be different this time. Amazing how much fasting is really about our mental state more than anything. At least in my own understanding. All my Master Cleanse and Fasting experiences has helped me understand all the mind games I get into with myself. But I digress...
We are all in the same boat of fasting to do better for ourselves. Here's to another beautiful healing cleansing day for us all!!!!

This is a reply to # 2,246,039Yes the amazing thing about the emotional healing / spiritual alignment etc. is almost how naturally it comes in this state. That is the primary reason I do it while the physical benefits are in line with the same purpose.
So the way I use baking soda / Himalayan salt enema is to help break up the crust in the gut. It just speeds the process. I use one TBSP of each and the goal is not to see how long I can hold it but eliminate another layer of plaque each morning. It would come out naturally, this just speeds it up.
Then I go to the coffee enema. I used to follow Bernard Jenkins and even did high colonics but realized none of that is needed with time and water...it all naturally gets cleansed. I just try and shorten the time cleansing my gut so the cleansing can intensify in other organs.
I had not thought of blogging this but I write almost every day so if I can figure out how to post sure thing I will share it. Anyone else here too... I will read and keep up as it keeps me motivated.
Fasting to me is understanding the battle we are undertaking. We do not have to do it. So many parts of our ego and outside ourselves in society will only question us. We find solitude in the peace and connection to what is greater in time, but for those that have not had this connection or know through a fast it will come can only experience not hear what we say.
