Re: hot water on eczema euphoria phenom; anyone?
I tend to use hot water, when ever my eczema on my hands starts to itch, and it also gives me that rush like feeling of pleasure. Well, sure as some of you have expressed, the hot water irritates the skin quite extensively, and it might even make your condition worse.
A few things that can be done to minimize the irritation:
Start out with only lukewarm water and the increase the heat of the water gradually.
It's better to submerge the skin in hot water, than having your skin under the tap or the shower head.
Alternate between hot and cold water and finish with the cold water.
Finally dry up your skin with a towel and apply some coconut oil or some other moisturizer. Your skin will get dry and start to crack if your don't apply the moisturizer fast enough.
This should probably only be used as an instant relief method, not for long term use. I'd also recommend that you do a salt water flush the next morning whenever your eczema starts to itch. It will take away some of the toxic load from your body. The itching, at least for me, is usually a sign that the toxins in the gut is being reabsorbed into the bloodstream, which then has to come out through the skin.
Hope this can help you, the way it's helped me!
