Hey, I thought V said that eating rice bran
takes care of the IP6??? I used to have this big ol' thick fat nutrition book too that said something about the benefits of eating UNCOOKED rice bran...it said something about eating a quarter cup a day. I think it even said that you could eat a quarter cup of straight brown rice a day...which is pretty cheap to buy. Very cheap, in fact!!!! I don't remember if it mentioned IP6, but ....
I remember eating that for awhile and me thinks I'll get back into that habit. It was supposed to be for breakfast, as I recall, and it said that since you don't cook it, be prepared for the eating of it to take a good 30 minutes. That's lot of chewing! Probably good for the teeth, too! The diet mix I was on before I got pregnant had rice bran in it!
I remember that the book said you could soak the brown rice in water first, to make the chewing of it easier if necessary. It did. Quite filling, too, as I recall. Don't know why I got out of the habit. Think I'd better start having that for breakfast again.
