Re: Anyone get ridges on the sides of their tongue during fasting ?

Jelly1219,
there are many causes of ridges on the tongue.

People who suffer from Arthritis or sinus or digestive problems will have a tongue that appears puffy with a scalloped edge.
Do you have any other illnesses/diseases which could make this a possibility?

A ridged or scalloped tongue has been associated with a Vitamin B deficiency, and in particular a B12 deficiency or even a problem with the Spleen.

Does this help?

I don't think it is anything to be overly concerned about, and will probably resolve itself as your fast progresses.
