Hmm... the "mimics pregnancy" thing, if true, can actually explain and vindicate your conclusion.

Hang out at any pregnant chicks forum for half an hour and you're bound to notice that like 50% of them have major vaginal yeast issues, and most claim that they didn't before they got preggers. Some older women go as far as to claim that yeast infections are always a part of the package.

How do I know all this crap? Lots of search results for yeast infections, especially if done in Russian (who knows why - maybe we just like to research/explore/self-medicate where Americans wait it out until it becomes unbearable), land you at pregger forums.
