I have been living with candida for a long long time. I now eat whatever I want that I know doesn't bother me...and fruit doesn't bother me, though pears do....
I have taken many different things over the years to deal with my candida...am blessed with a healthy body overall, was raised on home grown vegetables (though overall a SAD diet), was always big on sweets, but after I got sick (long story...but basically the start of my severe systemic candida problem) I ate a very healthy diet....generally eat very healthy organic food....which doesn't mean that I never ate ice cream or desserts but I learned to be choosy so didn't eat anything that wasn't worth the pain (to me) and also would then take anticandida stuff afterwards...such as grapefruit seed extract, primal defense and probiotics.
So, I don't follow any particular diet...just eat healthy and eat alot of raw fruits and veggies...lots of raw veggies. Even slightly cooked ones are good...just lightly cooked. Lots of veggies is key.
