Many people with a heavy metal problem also have some adrenal insufficiency. This includes some hypoglycemia. While a fast might give a sluggish liver a break it might exacerbate other problems. I think you are looking for trouble. A more careful diet for your situation might be a better alternative; however I understand that it is challenging to find the right diet. Good luck
