Re: the sooner you start...
C60 is old news, from the late 1980's. Since then it has been well characterized. It is known that it passes through the body unchanged, and is not absorbed. Basically these people are paying for an inert substace.... provided its pure.
But nothing is ever pure. If there's oxygen in the product, it may contain peroxides, biphenyl ethers, ketones, etc.
The analytical side of c60 is also well known. Normally we use a mass spectophotometer to determine the composition, and alternately gas chromatography.
If these people don't have a mass spec or a GC, then, they're amateurs since obtaining those data isn't all that expensive.
So I'd ask him for a GC or a Mass Spec result. Its extremely extremely rare in chemistry for any single step process to produce pure material of any sort, there are always impurities. Producing C60 is a highly energetic process, there is great potential for many many other materials to be formed, including the higher fullerenes.
This is the latest fad for the whackos in the alternate world, kind of like cesium chloride cures cancer, etc.. I predict it goes nowhere, particularly since the Curezone Troll #1 is blathering about it. If I wanted to ingest an inert molecule, I'd choose something less expensive than C60. Its a big bunch of hype in my opinion. Otherwise, the supplement companies would have joined in long ago.
Maybe they will get involved now, there are tons of suckers out there.
