Re: Ectoparasites
Head and Tail are the most interesting areas to photograph and look at for identification. It can take months to get a great sample for photographing.
Mostly I suggested rare species, since the pictures do not resemble the worms I have seen before.
If you leave the worm in a plastic bag for a few weeks, does it go to a film like consistency, or roll up?
If you get another one, is it tough to pull apart? like plastic. Try using a 0.010 probe pick under a microscope.
parasites like flatworm tapes or flukes, are matrix that dries to very thin see-thru substance.
parasites like red worms are mostly cellulose, very tough plastic like substance.
Insects make chitin as a tough like outer shell.
White worms are mostly a tissue like substance.
If you have challenge tested Flat (Prazi), White, and Redworm (IVM) meds, that rules them out.
Since you have tried Prazi and IVM, ~ that leaves DEC/Dimmitrol (White worms), try a std dose of 2-4mg/kg (200mg?) to determine if there is a reaction in 3 days or so. DEC needs to start ramp at 50mg in case you have picked up a dirofilarial species, and slowly ramp to a standard dose. If you vomit, that is a white worm reaction. 8-9AM with food is the usual time to dose. Any heart pain, discontinue at once, and prepare and educate for white worm plan and formulation.
While there are many other challenges, usually you start generic, then get detailed in challenge tests. ALB and MBZ are broad spectrum meds. I assume you have tried these at 4mg/kg/D for several days? These are again for internal worms, and I suspect you have an ecto external parasite, which would not react to many of the suggestions herein. The first email I wrote considered my limited knowledge of ecto parasites. Those meds and oils in the first post, focus on ecto parasites.
Have you tried Castor oil caps at 4mg/kg/D or Peppermint oil caps at 4mg/kg/D for prehistoric worms? You can try these together to for either a granulomas reaction or for prehistoric worms. After a month I dropped what seamed like 10
lbs. of plastic sand in the stool. One hell of a surprise and toxin dump. Prehistoric worms will not react to meds, since they evolved in the sea, and lack DNA genes for today's medications. Mint and Mint species are most powerful against them.
You also can try Flax Seed oil at say 4+ mg/kg/D. Many get a reaction at this starting level. I do 300mg/kg/D+ of flax seed oil to control strongyle worms, incurable but controllable. Most red worms react to Flax Seed oil or thyme leaf.
You also can try Black Cumin seed oil at 2.4 mg/kg/D. This one too can generate a huge toxin dump.
RED PINE Needle oil at ~0.6mg/kg/D also can be used for a challenge test. Mostly associated with Red worms, Immune tilter, about 30% of infections across the board show a reaction or improvement from this organic oil.
Do yogurt twice daily, as a minimum, to prevent any GI bacterial profile alterations from organic oils.
The first email I sent out had other suggestions as well.
If all the challenge tests are negative, then a more detailed approach is necessary.
The list of nematode challenge naturals/meds has grown larger over the years.
When someone reports a reaction, when it is useful, it goes on the list.
Keep Notes, Doses, Duration's, Results. A good Journal is very useful. In the long run it could help provide you with the answer you seek.
