Re: Neurocranial Restructuring
I am 48 and have had two NCR sessions since Christmas. I had chronic pain radiating down one leg. The pain was originating in the hip region and just burned. It was difficult to walk and go up and down stairs. My weight is proportional to my height so it wasn't a weight issue. In addition, for over 2 years I had a real problem in my neck and shoulder region. It was primarily on one side but always caused horrendous headaches. I had done chiropractic for years for both problems, then tried physical therapy and sports medicine. All helped but nothing offered long term improvement.
I had been researching NCR for my daughter with scoliosis and decided to give it a try for my chronic pain. I had some relief after the first series of treatments. The spine continued to adjust to the neurocranial adjustments so I would have good days and bad - but none were as bad as I had been before the treatments. After 7 weeks, I had a second series of treatments and have been about 90% better. I have several days in a row with no pain at all so those days the improvement is 100%. Then every so often I will have minor pain. I also practice deep relaxation (see Dr. Walt Stoll's bulletin board on the net) and with the deep relaxation, I can relax and reduce the pain to almost nothing.
Dr. Stoll suggests that any therapy (NCR included) will not keep you pain free without doing relaxation also.
So that's how it has worked for me. My daughter continues to get treatments for her scoliosis and we are hoping it will arrest the curve in her spine.
All the best.
