I want to do a long fast, but I have not fasted a single day for the past ten months. I have not worked out all the details yet, but I am getting off all the bad food, and I am starting to eat the good foods. I was thinking about doing something along these lines: The first month I will be fasting 1-2 days a week; Second month I will be fasting 1-2 days a week with one week doing a 3 day fast; Third month doing one 3-4 day fast the first week, fasting 1-2 day a week for the next two weeks, and then starting a long fast on the last week of the month.
Is this an advisable routine? I am open for inputs, and I would welcome advice from everyone. Also if anyone wants to join up with me and become a support system they would be gladly welcomed.
