Date: 11/14/2007 11:48:59 AM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 3760 times I just handed over a $400 check to my FIL after he remarked, 'Well you two took my money away,etc.etc." Just in his usual degrading tone of voice. I had not wanted to get involved with him and money but I trusted my husband to handle the affairs of obtaining a vehicle since he needs it for work. Well anyway, I felt terrible when he said this to me and a bit angry. However, when I was handing him the check I wished for financial prosperity instead of pointing out all his flaws, my husband's flaws and feeling sorry about my situation. When I first heard what he said, I did get an instant headache but now I feel better.
I've been getting up early and taking very cold showers. I say very cold because I live in the mountains and the water is downright near freezing. Not as cold as the Atlantic in February though! I first got this idea from a book called Kundalini Yoga. I HIGHLY recommend the morning cold shower whether you get up and do yoga or not. I try to do it before I say my prayers because it clears out the cobwebs in my head :-) Anyway, lately I've been experiencing more detailed visualisations and am able to do this more intensely, meditate, pray and so on because of my brain exercises (brainready.com) and taking my vitamins for the brain. Plus, it's something to do other than feel sorry for myself. I'm not going to give in. I'm into power manifesting not feeling sorry for myself but of the house situation. Sometime soon I'll post my best of the best youtube.com video favorites that I use for meditation and visualisation.
My mother has a health challenge related to a radical hysterectomy she had years ago. It might be cancer, It might not be. Whatever it is, I'm prepared to be alongside her in every way. I've started wearing white hats to work to signify my devoted prayer life and my marriage status. Sounds totally unPC but hundreds of thousands of religious women do it and I like it. I may post a pic of myself wearing it. I bought them from modestworld.com I was wearing scarves to work but white is more appropriate for nursing.
