Media Star has been popular is some circles.
We are in Summer Shift 2010.
Things are shifting day by day.
Within the last days,
I have been facing intense
questioning, if I am capable of
making the shift.
There was a break in the psychic weather
today around the house after two days
of meetings. Yesterday's meeting
gave me new hope, but I am still
questioning, even after this first day
of taking time, if I am suited
in this phase of shift, to live with others.
There are many guests around the house
these days.
I recognize that there are places inside
that feel in shock from a shattering during
the last months and days.
My nervious system feels frayed.
I was reminded today, how much time
I need to spend alone to maintain my composure.
There is a move afoot,
to allow me space to care for myself.
Whenever we need a new housemate,
this becomes a full time job for me.
Things appear to be settling down.
I did a rare thing today.
Take a day to read a book.
As usual,
I have "do" motivation.
I help Keep The Beet write her column
every three months for the "Space of Love" Magazine.
It is time that I read the book that
I have honored, and absorbed intuitively
by simply holding.
I have to admit, after reading a few chapters,
my intuitive absorption of what I knew
about this book, was at a higher octave
that the words I am reading.
I want to continue to read.
Maybe I will warm up to what I am finding
on the pages.
This book reminds me thusfar,
after starting Chapter Four, as another
Alegory of Consciousness--what was that book
called, it was a novel that everyone raved about...
I could not get into it. The book by Redfield...
what was it called?
Oh yes, here it is...

I am not much of a book reader.
"The Red Tent" is one of the few books I have read
from cover to cover. I was captivated by it.
I read some chapters of
"Anastasia" this morning, Book One of
The Ringing Cedars Series that has caused
The Ringing Cedars Revolution.
There is a website with a massive international network.
The book is said to have been over
10 million copies sold in 20 languages.
This is an English translation I am reading.
The early chapters seem to be building a case
for the Russian Cedar and its healing properties.
I have been involved in natural healing for many years.
It is not uncommon for a product to be marketed this way.
I like what it is saying about the Cedar and the berries,
that are the equivalent of what we in the US call Pine Nuts.
This morning, as I was getting into this buildup for
this one tree, my spirit began to say:
What if there are many trees and foods that have
healing properties? Do we imagine that there is only one
tree, a Cedar, that has such remarkable healing gifts to human kind?
Do we not have on our very own property here,
remarkable plants that have astounding healing properties,
if we put believed in them?
CHAPTER ONE
These paragraphs caught my attention:

"There are no helaing remedies with properties analogous to those
of cedar oil.Butperhaps the secret of making this oil had been passed
along by one of the emigres to someone in the West? How was it that
possible that the cedar nuts with the most effective healing properties
grow in Siberia, and yet the facility for producing the oil is located in
Turkey?"

"Why with such a treasure here at home iwth such time-tested
effective properties--proved over centuries, millennia, even--do we spend
millions and maybe billions of dollars buying up foreign medicines
and swallow them up like half-crazed people? How is it that we keep losing
the knowledge known to our forebears?

"What kind of unknown forces are trying so earnestly to erase our
forebears' knowledge from our own memories? "Oh, you'd better stick
to minding your own business!: we're told, Yes, they are trying to wipe it out. And indeed, they are succeeding!"
ENCOUNTER
Chapter Two
"I am not that comfortable in clothing, Vladimir.
I put it on when I leave the woods and go out among people,
but only so I can look like everyone else.
In this chapter, the main character Vladimir
meets Anastasia, the nature girl of Siberia.
Vladimir comes to realize is is at home with no
possessions, leading a very simple life in harmony
with the forest.
BEAST OR MAN?
Chapter Three
This chapter makes a case that
living this simple life is the nature estate of
Man. Man is used her as we use the word Mankind.

WHO ARE THEY
Chapter Four
Valdimir spends three days with Anastasia.
He is starting to be won over by her simple life.
He asks:
"Is our system of education and bringing up children
sufficient to comprehend the meaning of existence,
to arrange every individual's life priorities in the correct order?
Does it help or hinder our ability to make sense of
Man's essence and purpose?"

I feel I have a mystical relationship with
Anastasia. I am glad that I am taking time to
read the book. I sense perhaps it will align my
column more with the material, but as Regina Jensen
told me, my work inherently reminded her
of this work in the first place.
That was the drawn to ask Keep The Beet
to write for "Space of Love" Magazine.
ONE POT-ONE PERSON=YOU'RE A GARDENER
I believe that if we can connect with a single plant fully,
body, mind, and soul, we can have a moment of awakening.
This is what the world desperately needs now.
There is a reference here in the early pages of Chapter
Four, to sages going off to the Forest, or into seclusion in nature
to gain an understanding of the Universe and the Laws of
Nature.
"Why did they too go off
to become recluses in the forest,
and how were they able,
after a short period of time there,
to so fathom the depths of wisdom
that the kings of this world made
the long journey through uncharted wilderness
to seek their advice?"
SO...SAVE GAS...

Chapter 4
This is my favorite chapter so far.
Anastasia lives in the Taiga being fed by nature.
She does not have to wear a lot of clothes.
This also feels like a fantasy.
