Massive leaks, massive cleanup
on all levels needed now.
We are being flooded out
because we have not prepared
for a rainy day. We do not
have a budget for a rainy day.
This is dangerous planning
on home, city, state, national levels.
We are banking on an economy
that has nothing to do with the laws of nature.
We are breaking down because
we are not adjusting to the Shift that
happened.
This was pointed out to me
watching the workings of Washington.
I am seriously needed to work full time
on bridging the gap between the those
governing and those governed,
but I have my hands full right at home now.
The very foundation of where I live
is on shaky ground...

Just off the phone with Bill Tall,
a very sound ally who has a dream that is
grounded daily called City Farmers' Nursery.
He said, "When it rains, you see the leaks,"
We are having one of the most intense rains
that we have had in many years in our city
of San Diego today, and So Cal. Likely,
the rain is showing up in lots of other places.
I watched 60 minutes on CBS the other night.
It was revealing. It showed some tremendous
rainstorms about to make leaks we will have to clear
and clean up.
There is a pothole outside my house here at the
Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds
in San Diego. The city has been called a number of times.
They have not come. They are too busy too come.
People have to start taking care of things themselves
where they live.
The pothole and the rain points how some of the next
things perhaps I have to do today.
What do I do next?
I have been working on, and well as using
#HR 2751 #S-510 as a distraction from what what I need
to do at home.
I am on shaky ground here, just as other homes.
I see homes on TV falling into rivers.
MORE RAIN BARRELS NEEDED
The rain is a blessing.
I am sure, if I use my resources wisely,
I could find more barrels to load up with water
right now.
CALL OF EMERGENCY
A woman, who is perhaps a perspective housemate,
just called seeking sanctuary.
She is in a violent situation.
That is as much as she could say.
She wanted sanctuary here.
There is very little sanctuary here.
Communication is extremely disconnected.
One man moved out of a room upstairs.
He is an old ally. We are not talking.
I wrote him a note the other day that said,
"It's important that you keep me posted
on moving in and out--"
Best, Leslie
He responded, "Stop, contact me with a
mediator!"
I am not sure what he meant by that.
What kind of a mediator does he want?
I LIVE WITH EIGHT OTHERS
I live with eight others here.
How I live here needs to be above board.
This is an experiment in social living,
a tip of what may need to happen in our country
and world. The Enchanted Garden is a name for the New Earth
that we can grow one seed and dream at a time
being planted.
We are all seeds. We all have dreams.
MEETING THE OTHER NIGHT
We have had a couple of meetings here the last
couple of Monday nights. The information was revealing,
although the tool that was used to get the information
was a bit painstaking.
We did a process where we wanted to find about
something about Peace. We were using the Four Directions
as a tool. That is not in my school of thought.
No time to explain.
I hear steps coming down the stairs.

Just came back from a fifteen minute
conversation with Doug.
I called him. He responded with a knock on my door.
I explained the situation.
THIS IS THE SITUATION
It is raining.
All the leaks are showing up now.
There are more leaks in our system
than I can imagine.
That anyone can imagine.
Maybe that is not true.
If we have Open Communication,
it is possible to Mend the Cracks
in our Wholeness.
GOVERNNMENT AND GOVERNED
ARE OUT OF TOUCH
Government and governed are out of touch.
They are out of touch here at the house.
They are out of touch down at City Hall.
They are out of touch up in Sacramento
and in every other state capital, perhaps.
The elected reps in Washington are living in their
own world.
HOW MANY OF US ARE THERE?
How many of us were opposed to
the Food Safety Modernization as the FDA
wanted it? The FDA, I imagine, for the most part
got what they want.
The things that were said yesterday did
not tell the whole story.
No one has the whole truth unless we are talking.
CLEAN UP A DISK
Doug went upstairs to see if he can get
a communication across to the man
who is upset and calling for a mediator.
I am unsettled.
THe house is not safe.
WHAT TO DO NEXT?

THE CAMPAIGN TO EDUCATE WASHINGTON ON REAL FOOD SAFETY
These are our aims:
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
