Day 21 of Strongyloides Protocol
Date: 2/23/2014 11:27:00 AM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 1176 times I have not taken my Ivermectin for 4 days, because I wanted to get back on track after a break from Albendazole. Much of the stinging and itching has stopped, and the squiggling seems to have stopped in my eye. I have not had pains in my sinuses in the last couple of days either.
I do have a nagging, dry cough, which I am not sure is caused by the meds, because I have a lot of pollen allergies, and it is spring here in S. Florida.
I've changed the kinds of fat I'm eating, and mix fats when possible, like last night I had broccoli slaw with Ranch dressing, grated cheese, pineapple, pumpkin seeds, and cashews. It added up to about 38 grams of fat, but didn't bother me much. I've been eating peanut butter toast or cheese toast for breakfast, which usually doesn't add up to quite 40 grams, but I eat some pudding or nuts afterwards to boost it. I made some pimento cheese and ate it on celery last night, and it worked pretty well. Still haven't broken down and made bacon and cheesy eggs, but I'm sure that will come. Bacon sandwiches are very yummy, after all.
Joints are feeling a little better, and the sore spot on the ball of my left foot is improving. I'm sure after these worms are gone from my joints, I will be moving quite a bit better, although some of the damage is done, like the absence of fluid in my knee joints. I'm sure the worms ate it, as they surely do love joints of any kind.
There are still "nests" that have to be killed off entirely. I wonder how long it will take for my body to rid it self of the dead worm carcasses all over my body? I wonder HOW it does it? I assume they break down and are reabsorbed into the bloodstream and filtered out by the liver, but I don't know enough about biology to know for sure. The body is amazing, isn't it?
Only two more days until my 1 week break from the Albendazole. I can tell now that I will need at least one more round of it, because if they aren't all gone by now, there are still plenty to kill. Still, only having to keep up with one med for a week will be nice.
I'll start back on the Ivermectin tonight. I hate that I got off schedule, but with having taken it for a week prior to starting, I think it will be fine.
