I have waited to here this Consumer Right to Know Message for many years. It has taken us thousands of hours to get to this point. with so many of us working so very hard.

LOOPHOLES IN S 764
Senator Merkley said many things, including pointing out three big loopholes that should bring defeat to the Roberts-Stabenow Bill s.764 if Senators and Activists can hear one another before the vote on this July 7.
According to Rachel Linden we are short merely two senators to stop this Roberts-Stabenow Bill S.764 now.
The Vote today was called Cloture, to Fast Track this without a fair hearing. Senator Merkley wanted to SLOW it down. Bernie Sanders, Senator Leahy, Jeff Merkley and others are standing by with amendments to make this a Real #LabelGMO bill that kills the #DARKACt darkness.
I got a deep understanding of the bill and its flaws as I listened to the Press Conference held earlier in the day, and then this talk on the floor by Senator Merkley.
Three big loopholes: A definition that exempts three major products in America. Not in use by any of the 64 that have a labeling law. Excludes the three products of Monsanto…GMO Corn…exempted..high fructose. GMO soybean oil exempted…Sugar beets…when produced would not be GMO sugar….these definitions exclude the three biggest products produced by Monsanto. They are determined to see that they are not covered.

I was shocked and stunned to listen to FBI Director Comey this morning. I cannot see how Hillary is electable. She will be tried in the Court of Public Opinion and likely indicted there.
May I remind you, it is called #OurRevolution. Amazing things happened today in the Senate. We need to get behind the Senators who are on our team, and sway a few more in the next 24 hours.

I have been monitoring the activity for two days now on the Senate floor. We, the #labelgmo side have done an excellent job of presenting the consumer right to know arguments. We do not give reasons why GMOs are not good for health.
Our opposition points how their evidence that GMOS are safe.
Clearly this is bill that gives Monsanto what they want. Their three main products are exempted in one way or another: High Fructose Corn syrup, soybean oil, and sugar beets are not called GMO under this bill. This bill is deeply flawed.
We need to support the senators on our side and create more of them on our side.
The bill is still to be voted on as of 3:41 pm PST.
I would suggest sending as much support as possible to @SenSanders who spoke to an amendment.
The vote yesterday was to limit debate.
Presuming we have influence as constituents. The next step would be to lobby for the Sanders Amendment that wants to make the Vermont state standard the national standard.
Call your senator and ask for that.
Appears, as leaders, we have a lot more work to do to create cohesion in #ourRevolution grassroots movement.
I have seen a lot of powerful information about the toxic effects of GMOs. We get a high rating for educating the public about the Consumer Right to Know issue. However, I would give a very low score for how effectively we have communicated that GMOs are bad for health.
I attended a conference earlier in the year where many of the #GMO Educators were present. Serelini, Stepanie Stephanie Seneff and Zen Honeycutt are incredible speakers as far as addressing the issues of GMO as bad for health. Jeffrey Smith was also there.
Until we get these points across, I am not sure how effective we will be.
My goal is to outgrow GMOs and Outgrow Monsanto. I believe GMOs need to be banned because of the ill-effect they have on contaminating seeds. That to be is clear.
I am compiling my ideas on this #PlantYourDreamBlog.
GMO Free USA we heard that Feinstein's office received over 1,000 phone calls yesterday asking her to vote NO. There were only 2 callers asking her to vote yes. We should be outraged and she really does need to hear the voices of outrage from her constituents :(
