What is DMT and how is DMT made within us?
DMT (dimethyltryptamine) is made from our pineal gland, a small pine cone shaped gland that is located in the very center of our brains, and it is the most powerful naturally occurring psychedelic compound. DMT is present if not in all plants and animals most of them, and is a vital molecule for existing on this plain of reality as it helps give color to our lives and happiness of mood. Some report DMT to be also made and present within the human spinal cord, which may have to do with claustrum oil secreted from the brain and how it interacts with the pineal gland. Our brain will naturally make DMT, but so do other animals as well. When humans are in heavy REM sleep delta stage 5, the brain changes wavelengths to a trance like state where DMT is administered before repeating a 90 minute cycles between each stage of REM sleep. DMT is released during the deepest of sleep and is the responsible for dreams as well as healing of the human body, making DMT a vital endorphin and the reason proper rest is more than just getting some sleep. Only during heavy sleep can we receive DMT at an unconscious level, but meditation isn’t exactly sleeping and we can still experience our own DMT while conscious.
There is a correlation between melatonin, carbon dioxide gas, and DMT made within us, and to maximize our DMT means to lower our carbon dioxide and increase melatonin. Melatonin is one of our endorphins and contributes to sleep and restfulness. The onset of darkness and tiredness increases melatonin, so if you remove light sources and disturbing sounds you will increase melatonin. Carbon dioxide can be lowered by fasting many hours before meditation, eating a more alkaline or vegan diet, and controlling breathing. DMT is constantly administered at lower doses during the day, but a night it’s levels will increase drastically.
DMT Meditation chemistry works by maximizing melatonin, lowering CO2, and concentrating on our gland to produce more DMT.
