Day 15 of the Juice Fast (Halfway There!!!)
Juice Fast + Rock & Roll Fest = Spiritual Musical Experience

I can't tell you how excited I am!!! What an incredible day yesterday was. I had one of the most profound spiritual and musical experiences of my life yesterday. I'm getting a little ahead of myself though, so let me back up.
Day 15 started like most others. I got up feeling completely refreshed (although I had spent the prior evening shaking myself silly at Studio 54's Halloween party). I went into the bathroom and low and behold..... my tounge was entirely pink again!!!
I don't really know if it was psychosomatic but the rest of my day was tempered by this feeling of "clean-ness".
We had tickets to the first day of Vegoose and the lineup was killer!! (the Killers actually played too, hehe --although I didn't catch them) I was hoping that the festival would have a good juice bar (and I wasn't dissappointed) but just in case they didn't I made an extra large juice for breakfast (about 20 oz) that I sipped on all morning till we got to the show at Noon.
I saw so many of my favorite bands including; Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams, Mediski Martin and Wood, Praxis, Kool Keith, The Black Crowes and Tom Petty!!!! The whole day had a magical aura about it. I felt good about myself and the way I looked (I haven't for so long it's like I forgot what it feels like to feel good about yourself). The wife and I were in an awesome position to see just about all of them (with the exception of Petty). The crowning jewel of the day was seeing the Black Crowes. All of the other bands were awesome mind you but the Crowes experience bordered on the mystical.
I had worked our way down to the front of the stage just before the Crowes came on. The minute they hit the stage and ripped into Sting Me I was in a trance. It was like a Holy-Roller Rock & Roll show spectacular!!! I was getting a very spiritual vibe from the music and had one of those "transcendant" moments that you hear people speak of. There was pain in my feet from standing all day but the pain was totally abscent for thier 90 minute set (unfortunately, it returned with a vengence when they left the stage).
I didn't find the juice bar till the evening (it was tucked away in a corner of the festival lot) so I had a fruit smoothie which was really unsatisfying after drinking good juice for 15 days. I came home around midnight totally exhausted and still high from the music. It was a perfect moment for my halfway point through this fast. Can't wait to see what the next 15 days brings!!!!
