Lies, Dammed Lies and DQ's Math Illiteracy
Leave it to you to misrepresent anything that disputes your questionable point of view. This report in question did not claim victory as you deceptively claim, it reports on the progress that has been made in the past years. It also points to several areas of improvement that can be made. It is you that constantly lies about victory over cancer,
Thanks to mainstream medicine, we have triumphed over small pox, polio and several other diseases that you have now forgotten about. Find people old enough and they will tell you about the precautions they took when these diseases showed up in their neighborhood. If you could do or understand basic math, or even a nice color chart you’d see that it was vaccines not hygiene that was responsible for wiping out or severely reducing many of the diseases that once plagued mankind. Hygiene played its role in some cases as with dysentery, and cholera, but over all you are exaggerating the effects.
The effects of delayed response to chemotherapy have been well documented in lab animals (without soup!!) as well as clinically. There is nothing too surprising about people who stop their therapy and continue to improve. This has been known to happen for quite a long time; unfortunately there is not way of determining which patient will show dramatic improvement after cessation of treatment.
I also think that you or your uncle is lying, and your lie about the effectiveness of natural cures does not boost your credibility. No oncologist would ever promise a cure for cancer. They are annoyingly conservative in their outlooks and predictions. You throw around made up numbers from unverified sources. This is why every shill out there can claim miraculous results, no oversight. It doesn’t matter what the cure is; whether special baths, cow dung extract, electricity, coral calcium, oleander, zapper, fetal cells all these clinics make the same 80-90% cure rate. You guys all tell the same lie. When you actually have to submit your results for others to review, inspect and dissect the results tend to be less dramatic, but at least they are based on reality.
People choose CAM along with traditional protocols mainly for emotional reason. Cancer takes away the illusion of control that people have over their lives, and CAM in a way restores that feeling of control. They feel good about having restored a feeling of control and as a result they also physically feel better.
I am appalled that you would think it is a good idea to keep information about your health from your doctor. In many cases you can have drug interactions, and there have been documented cases of people keeping secrets from their doctors and experiencing severe and dangerous effects from when their prescribed drug interacted with their self-medications. It is another stupid idea in a long line of dumb comments. Nearly all doctors nowadays accept that patients will self-medicate and will only gently try to dissuade their patients from CAM treatments. As long as they keep them informed so they can monitor for drug interactions nearly all are ok with it.
Doubling the survival rate of people with cancer may seem trivial to you, it is doubtful that the patients or their relatives consider their lives trivial. It is a lot better than you have ever done. In fact it is finitely better from zero, your success rate.
I suggest you read the report again; you failed to grasp its meaning. Given your history, it is also possible that you are being intentionally misleading. Math is hard so you have a lot of company in your innumeracy. Here it is again so you have a second stab at it.
“A new report from the nation's leading cancer organizations shows cancer death rates decreased on average 2.1 percent per year from 2002 to 2004, nearly twice the annual decrease of 1.1 percent per year from 1993 to 2002.”
Your dishonest attempt at a mathematical version of 3-card Monty will only fool a few. The little calculations you provided did well to highlight your ignorance of mathematics – it showed such a blatant ignorance of math, I wonder if you ever obtained a high school diploma. Thank you, now we know another topic where your judgment can’t be trusted.
Cancer has been with us for as long as there have been animals on this planet, it has nothing to do with your ideas of conspiracies, industries and profit. In your claims of conspiracies you seem to be blissfully ignorant than in other countries it is the government that pays for health care and they are interested in saving money. For your conspiracy to work every politician elected, bureaucrat in every country would have to be in on the conspiracy. That idea is plainly laughable.
Every year advances are made that aid in the survival, treatment and management of cancer and none of your lies can change that. The money that has been spent has gone to save the lives of millions and the work will continue to improve and provide real options. This is vastly better than the known-nothing approach you take and the empty promises you and your anti-knowledge brethren.
