Re: distractions at work..

This all seems so serious and tragic... so what is it about the post (and your others) that utterly amuse me? Please know that I am not laughing AT you, just laughing NEAR you.....err..... anyway, I was quite amused with myself thinking how much power you assume you have over the coy lass that you could/would destroy her should you two get involved... and yet depending on who she is, you may or may not have that power.

One thought was, ENJOY that feeling! For me when single, crushes are ever so rare and to be enjoyed. Of course, with the ever possible imminent disaster, you may not want to bring that drama to your work, but I do like the feeling of a good crush.

The other thought which brought me the amusement as stated above... you never know. While dating, I often found myself in a reverse role with men where they get involved and I have to cut things off lest I hurt them. I don't know why, but I simply don't emotionally tied to anyone with whom I get physically tied. This is a traditionally masculine trait, I know, but I've learned it is not b/c I'm cold. I did get deeply tied to my hubby (obviously), but without something real beneath the infatuation, it just didn't touch me. That's why crushes were rare for me and also why young, too cocky (were those the terms you used to describe yourself) men did not know when they met me that I was not that woman, the one who gets tied up with them emotionally and ends up hurt. Interesting... anyway, I feel like I'm on super-babblefish-mode. It's hard to describe but it's all pretty fascinating to me.

Anyway, it sounds like a nice crush, even if it stays in your head.
