I did post a counter- point on role of fats however, look for this posting about diet in this forum.
Hard not to cheat on any diet we try.
The real issue with dairy, most holistics will tell you, is insecticides and steroid hormones. Both of these simply stress the immune system. Several holistics, natural paths. recommend organic dairy.
So, organic cottage cheese is ok by these standards and so is organic yogurt. Still, it is sweetened with corn syrup at times.
I did just post a diet article. I don't want to trash a diet that is healthier thant traditional diets, which Budwig is, If I had to do Budwig, depressing, I would shoot myself.
Food is such a part of people lives, extistance, outlook, state of mind.
For me, beating cancer is part state of mind, and possitive people have stronger immune systems just by virtue of cortisone factor alone.
Therapeutic diets must struggle to remain pleasurable, pleasure is therapeutic!
A realistic balance must be struck...
Look for that diet posting within this forum.
I really don't think Fats are a villain. If you want to debate the nature of fats just look at the food pyramid, look at what healthy eating has become,(low fat!)
Ok! Millions of people have cut back fats, worried about cholesterol, eaten more grains and starches, drank diet sodas, and what happened to our worste diseases over last twenty to thirty years!!!!!!!! HUH?
Diabetes- Skyrocket
Cancer - Skyrocket (during food pyramid)
Obesity - Skyrocket
Heart disease - Skyrocket
Stroke- Skyrocket
Chronic Virals- skyrocket
Autoimmune - Consistently going up!
OK! With diseases attributed diet, SKYROCKETTING, and others still climbing,... you don't have to be a ROCKET SCIENTIST to conclude that our wonderful food pyramid, , IT DIDN'T WORK PEOPLE!!!!! Don't knock facts and Don't knock fats.
