Re: Nutritional Treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
I just couldn't help jumping in here..
First off, Jurplesman, do or did you ever have PTSD? Are you an expert the field? I have PTSD and I can assure you that this idea is both perposterous and INSULTING to me and anyone who has ever had PTSD! Do you want to tell this to all those poor young men that come home from the war ? PTSD is a very serious life threatening and debilitating disorder where damage is done to chemistry of the brain. I can assure you 100% that I do not have hypoglycemia. I have gone to several alternative health care professionals in the last 2 years to keep myself as healthy as possible, and I can assure you that I have never been diagnosed with hypoglycemia or any kind of candida problem. I also hardly never eat any sugar. Instead my nervous system and adrenals were wrecked and that is where my need for support is. And just in case you were wondering, I was completely fine and happy before my PTSD.
I would also like to ask you why you can judge that meditation does not work for most with PTSD? Again are you an expert in the field? Not everything on the internet you read is true! Meditation helps enormously and each person is unique. A know one person who healed themselves with deep tissue massage. Most PTSD sufferers also get tremendous help from EMDR & CBT counselling, like I have. Depending on how much junk you have, the time of healing varies. If I look back one year ago, I have improved by leaps and bounds.
If you a want better reference & place to go, see this website on PTSD. Here you will gain a better and correct understanding of the subject.
