i dont think it matters what your diet is, if you have a very restricted diet for an extended period, then eat something outside those restrictions, your body has a real hard time with it, and expriences a shock.

if a person who ate mcdonalds and crap for years suddenly ate loads of super healthy food one day they would probably wretch. its the shock to the system that is the problem.

since your diet has been so restriced, you will most likely need to add in whatever you choose VERY slowly at VERY small amounts. as for veggies, i would suggest first making a warm broth with the veggies you want to introduce, add a bit of molasses and/or salt if you like, then sip that. after a few days of this, try some whole veggies, at a very small portions, etc.

its the same as if you had fasted for many days, you cant just start eating, you have to go slow. you have fasted from veggies, now you really have to go slow in introducing them back into your diet.
