Yesterday was a change of seasons from Spring to Summer, and I went into shock.
I woke up with an inspiration to go with Nadine up to Los Angeles for a day or two. I went into the garden and started to do my "Morning Prayers," watering various plants in pots very consciously.
Then, I got into the Arundo stand on the rim of the Arosa Canyon. First I began cutting the shoots very low. I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing. When you cut the branches low, you leave what can become a spike. It could be easy to trip on these spikes or puncture your foot if you were not paying attention. I was bonding with the plant in a new way. I was down on my knees, using my favorite clipper.
I was working on the hillside.
Then I decided that perhaps there was a better strategy. I went to the edge at the top. I started to pay attention to own Arundo that was growing. I started to dig with my hard around the roots. Sometimes I have mourned our lack of fertile soil on our property. I was amazed! The soil around the root of the Arundo was moist! It was fertile. This, a plant called invasive, and one of Monanto's big money makers through selling local parks departments, etc, a bill of goods that Round Up ought to be used to kill it, was a living, breathing factory of good soil productivity.
Within about fifteen minutes, I had filled two buckets with this fertile soil, with the intent of planting KAMUT (R) Brand Knorasan wheat Kamut grass.
Then, I moved into my day.....still intending to go to LA with Nadine.
The afternoon before, I thought I had finished these words for Paul and the Program. I felt relieved! It was the Summer Solstice. I went for acupuncture and then to Dog Beach with Kenneth Korn, his family, and Nadine. We were having fun. I started to take photos for Gary HIrshberg and Stonyfield. I never knew that Stoneyfield made Ice Cream! Stonyfield gives 10% of its profits to projects that help the planet. Gary give me funds last year and told me at the NPEW He would make another contribution this year. I need funds to pull off the Caravan to the National Heirloom Expo, from sponsors who will pay for a mile, and for larger donors. My first Big Assist came from Katrina Frey, the dearest of friends from the oldest organic certified Vineyard in the US. If you drink wine, please drink Frey Wine.
Back to the Stoneyfield Ice Cream!
I was lying down on a sarong in the sand eating it.
It was good and got all over my face!!!
Nadine and I laughed.

OMG!!!
I opened my Imac. I looked at the words I wanted to give Paul Wallace, organizer of the National Heirloom Expo for the program.
Some kind of techno breakdown! All the upper case letters were now lower case. The work that I thought I finished the day before was in chaos!!!! I started to fix this and email later editions. Then I found more typos!!!! Yikes! What would Paul think of me?????

I went into shock. I had wanted to leave, but how could I?
Suddenly, the Universe was on hold. I wanted to leave, but I wanted a complete with Paul first. I could not reach Paul. I was stunned and catatonic for a few hours. Could I possibly leave home now?

Please clarify; what "Seed Stories," means. Can these be poems about seeds that are illustrated, or poems incorporating still imagines and words? I like to combine photographic images with words.
Also...I wish there was a catagory for still images...I love to take those.
I will be posting my own still images of seeds growing that honor the National Heirloom Expo. They handed out Non GMO tomato seeds. I am growing them out and taking photos...
