Re: Insomnia and muscle twitching

Besides Andreas excellent advice here's a couple of things to try from someone who has been there: Epsom salts baths before bed. Two cups of epsom salts (hey, it's cheap) and a cup of baking soda in a warm bath. Soak for at least 20 minutes. It's the best way to absorb magnesium and you'll sleep great and wake up feeling like a million. This works so well it's positively addictive!

Also, have you tried stretching exercises before bed? It really helps my body (twitchy muscles) calm down. I recently found these nighttime yoga routines: Yoga Zone Conditioning and Stress Release which is highly recommended for nighttime relaxation - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006G8HD/qid=1128904825/sr=8-...
and Crunch Candlelight Yoga - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006FMB2/qid%3D1128905127/sr%3D11-1/...

I fought the early bedtime thing for a long time, but, like all of Andreas other advice it's simply the truth. It's easier to get to sleep before 10:00 once you get used to getting up early. THAT's the real trick! Sweet dreams!
