Day 12
The day after the big cleanse...you've been warned : )
Date: 4/19/2006 7:26:56 AM ( 20 y ) ... viewed 4325 times So I had the big clean yesterday, and it was the wierdest thing I have ever experienced!!! It was so odd. The lady was super cool and she told me a lot about what happens if your colon is not clean. Turns out I have candida. *joy* BUT! At least I know so I can take care of it. I looked up all of the symptoms of candida, and those are the exact symptoms I have been complaining about to my regular doctor for 7-8 years now! Let's see, how did they treat me? 1. Antidepressants 2. Get more sleep 3. You're fine. I am going to a meeting this week about nutrition and wholeness and detoxing. Although, I need to make sure I don't pull a Tom Cruise: "I know what I am talking about. You don't know. I've done the research. I know." Crazy Tom.
Anyway, back to the big cleanse. Interesting thing happened afterward: I felt really sick! Now wait. Don't let me scare you from trying one. Hear me out. I think what happened what she was able to jar a lot of what had built up loose, which is nothing but toxins. By doing so, I had a bunch of toxins running through me, so I think I was suffering from a major cleansing crisis.
But do you want to hear the crazy part? I feel so different this morning. I don't remember ever feeling this way. I don't feel bad, but it's definitely not normal. But let's define normal for me: lethargic, anti-social, irritable, sluggish, etc. And I don't feel that. It's like I am entering a new, um, zone? Quick suggestion (and only based on my one experience): If you have never had one, and plan to do one, try to have it done as late in the day as possible so you can go straight to bed if you experience a cleansing crisis and sleep it off.
I will definitely go for another cleansing, especially while I am treating the candida. By the way, to all of you who have put up with my anti-sugar, "Sugar Blues" obsession: It turns out that candida feeds off of sugar! If you have ever made bread, what are popular ingredients? Sugar and yeast.
I feel awake, alive, (a little hungry) and I am off to do some work.
By the way, thanks for the encouragement ausjulie!
