Re: Starting Budwig Diet/Protocol!
Was the post about stage 4 cancer intended for me or another poster? You did provide some info about prostate problems. Believe me, I have done a ton of research on my issue. A heck of a lot more than the Budwig diet. You say dairy is to be avoided which isn't totally true. It's animal fat/ non-lean meat, spices,& caffeine that's to be totally avoided but other things like dairy products &
Sugar can taken in limited quantities. It's true that dairy can be bad for prostate related issues but look below at the link for my current protocol.
I know dairy can be put into the animal fat category but it's actually meat that articles are referring to here. Here's what type diet I have been on with the broccoli protocol:

Scroll down to the lower third of the page & there's the things to avoid. There is also a FAQ about the diet that can be looked at for more about foods/drinks that can be used in limited portions. This diet is what I've been doing now for almost 6 weeks with some help. It's not really a diet but you use it for things to avoid & things to use during this treatment.
What I think I've decided to do is start lightly on a semi-Budwig(don't know a good name for it) diet. Kind of like your improvised diet. I plan on using the cottage cheese-flaxseed oil-honey mixture for about 3-4 days. Then , I will transition into some more recipes for the Budwig diet but still not do the strict diet. Remember, I'm not curing cancer with my situation so as far as not sticking for 5 years & these bad things happening shouldn't be a problem. I still don't know as much info as you about this Budwig protocol indeed. I have taken some time thogh to read up on this diet.
However, I don't see how this diet could be dangerous by eating certain things not in the diet with a non-cancer situation. There are tons of flaxseed recipes over the net. Flaxseeds-flaxmeal can be added as an integral part of any diet. It can be mixed with any type food/drink. I can see that cancer patients could die on this diet anyhow when taking in foods that's supposed to be eliminated. They're very sick people & I respect that. But, how can someone like me & you go on this diet & eat other foods & cause a reaction so severe as like your fainting? Maybe I'm missing something but this sounds a little odd to me. Thanks!
