Oral AMB experience

Late last year I took 2000mg/day oral amphotericin (AMB) for around 3 months. I didn't notice any significant improvement (maybe a little) while taking the AMB, but now that I've stopped AMB, my Depression is much worse than it was before starting ( Depression is my worst Candida symptom). This confirms a fear of mine that antifungals have the potential to breed more potent strains of Candida.

I'm now faced with the decision of whether to restart AMB, and add Sporanox, in an effort to get on top of my candidiasis. Obviously AMB by itself was not sufficient, and adding Sporanox is a much stronger drug regime, however it also raises the prospect of breeding an even more potent and resistant strain of Candida when I eventually stop taking antifungals.

I suspect others have considered this dilemma. Any thoughts on this are welcome.
